Ministry
at Union Church
10%
of all undesignated offerings to the Union Church are administered by the
Mission Team to fund short term and ongoing ministries of the
congregation. In 2005 this amounted to $4370.00. In addition to this
amount, over $16,000.00 was donated through the Union Church for disaster relief
abroad (Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina), local disaster relief (Hurricane Stan,
Santa Ana Volcano) and scholarship funding. Thus in 2005, 25% of our total
income was passed on or designated for those in need. Please click
on our "giving page" for donation information.

Ministry through Union Church to El
Salvador
While the primary mission of the Union Church is to the English-speaking
community at large, the need for the work of the Gospel is great in El Salvador.
Scholarship Students

The "Beca" program
provides everything a student needs to attend High School. The Union
Church currently sponsors 13 High School students and 1 College student with
mission directed funds and a generous contribution from Duke Energy.
Mission Trips
Throughout the year, the Union
Church sponsors trips to participate in people-helping activities such as building
houses with Habitat for Humanity in El Salvador. The
trips usually involve arriving at the church by 6am on a Saturday, driving to
the site and working until noon or so. We generally return home after
enjoying lunch together. If you are interested in knowing more please
contact the Mission Team.

Gruver
Library
For over 30 years the Union Church
Library has been a beloved resource for the greater English reading
community. To this day the library is visited from all over the country
by folks looking for a good read. The Library was officially dedicated in memory of David Gruver, former Pastor of the Union
Church. We
welcome all contributions of books in English.
American Thanksgiving Service

A celebration of Thanksgiving each
year, sponsored by the American

Annual Flea Market
A fund raiser for the Union Church
and an opportunity for our very transitional community to downsize their
property before moving on.
