Thank You Letter from Pete
Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 10:09PM Members and Friends of Union Church of San Salvador,
I would like to thank you for inviting me to serve as the pastor of this special church. In the short time that I have served as interim pastor, I have grown to love our congregation and am encouraged to watch God work in our midst. We are a unique group of people coming from so many different backgrounds all sharing a common desire to experience God together here in El Salvador. I look forward to the coming months as we try to listen to God together for where He desires to move us, and how He desires to mold us into a community of believers that reflect His incredible love. We truly can be a church that brings hope into our city if we will open our hearts to Him, and commit to serving each other and those outside our walls.
In the coming weeks and months I hope to work with various leaders to organize our efforts as a church around us all following Jesus together. My heart is that each ministry we endeavor holds discipleship at its core, growing us deeper with God, deeper with each other, and deeper with the lost and hurting of our city and world. I pray that God encourages you through our church, and that you will experience an incredible relationship with Him.
Please visit our recently updated website www.unionchurchofsansalvador.org for ongoing updates. We will be using the website to communicate often regarding the life of the church. We have also begun posting (and podcasting) our weekly sermons on the site for those who’d like to listen.
Thank you again for this opportunity to serve alongside you all.
In Christ,
Pete
